There was great excitement in St James’s Street last Thursday afternoon, when local charity the Sussex Beacon’s shop window was transformed into a birthday present, bearing a stunning, large bow.

Two Brighton businesses – Brighton Recreational Club (aka the Railway Club) and the Brighton Box – recently raised funds for local HIV charity, the Sussex Beacon.
Brighton’s newly opened LGBTQ+ community hub, the Ledward Centre, will be hosting a major exhibition from November 21 till December 9, featuring 30 years of photos and memorabilia from HIV charity the Sussex Beacon.
With more than 20 years of experience as a GP and working in sexual and reproductive health practice, Dr Ma is also a researcher at Imperial College London.

The Brighton Box, the contemporary LGBTQ+ owned art gallery, will be officially launching a 2022 calendar at the Sussex Beacon shop in Kemptown on Saturday, November 13, with a signing by four artists whose works are featured: Keren Bevis, Jack Lynn, Adam Makkai and Christopher Crawford
The funds will be used to modernise the charity’s kitchen area
The Sussex Beacon wants to reassure patients, service users, supporters and family members that the Beacon will continue to deliver services and support whenever and wherever they are needed.
