Choirs from all over the UK and Ireland have been gathering in Brighton today for the start of the Hand in Hand LGBT Choir Festival. The choirs include the internationally renowned London Gay Men’s Chorus, Actually Gay Men’s Chorus, Deep C Divas, Diversity Choir, Gay Abandon, Manchester Lesbian and Gay Chorus, The Pink Singers, Sing Out Bristol and Thames Valley Gay Chorus.
The Hand In Hand LGBT Choir Festival, taking place this summer from June 12-14, has received a huge boost in national recognition. Firstly, the National Lottery’s Big Lottery Fund agreed to provide a significant grant to support the event. Shortly afterward, Co-Operative Funeralcare agreed to get on board as the headline sponsor.
