Wet weather fails to dampen the spirits of revellers at Newcastle Pride on the weekend of July 21-23, as thousands flocked to see top pop acts. Newcastle Pride 2017, saw record numbers march in their tenth annual Pride parade through the city and tens of thousands more braving the rain for the free entertainment at the Town Moor.
One of the UK’s largest LGBT+ festivals, Newcastle Pride, puts extra security measures in place to reassure festival goers at this weekends event. Newcastle Pride takes place at Newcastle’s Town Moor from July 21-23 and organisers have announced that increased security measures have been put in place to ensure those attending enjoy a safe weekend in the city.
More headliners including Kelly Llorena and Stooshe will take to the stage this summer for one of the UK’s leading LGBT+ events. Nineties-turned-noughties songstress, Kelly Llorenna, known for hit songs ‘Set You Free’ and ‘Tell It To My Heart’ will be joining British girl band Stooshe as part of this year’s Newcastle Pride 2017 line-up.
Pride Glasgow Festival is the highlight of the year for many LGBT+ people in Scotland and takes place on Saturday 20 and Sunday August 21.
Following the success of Portsmouth Pride last year, organisers have listened to feedback from supporters and created a bigger event in 2016.
