Nothing marks the start of the Christmas season proper as clearly as a festive concert, and the Rainbow Chorus certainly declared the season well and truly open on Saturday night (December 9).
It’s that time of year which beckons in a host of special sights, smells and, of course, sounds which the Rainbow Chorus fresh from their appearance on the BBC One Show, invite you to experience—from the seasonal to the not-so-seasonal!
The Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement will hold their annual Service of Carols by Candlelight on December 22. The service will take place in the beautiful surroundings of St George’s Church, Kemptown starting at 7.30pm and the sermon will be delivered by Father Andrew Woodward.
Following the news of the death of Professor Martin Fisher on April 20, the following arrangements are now in place: On Tuesday, May 12 at 2pm, Martin’s funeral will take place attended by family, close friends and colleagues. On Thursday, May 21: from 10am – 12noon at St George’s Church, St George’s Road, Kemp Town, Brighton BN2 1ED, there will be a ‘Service of Thanksgiving’, offering patients, relatives, staff and colleagues an opportunity to gather together to give thanks for Martin’ life.
