LGBT Humanists has said that the results were ‘unsurprising’ but underline the need for recognition of humanist marriages in England and Wales, as an issue that disproportionately affects same-sex couples, the majority of whom have no interest in marrying in a religious setting.

More than 400 faith leaders from 35 countries have encouraged bans on LGBTQ+ conversion therapy by signing an open letter calling for the controversial practise to be criminalised.
Marek Jędraszewski, Archbishop of Kraków in Poland told a conference he deemed it “necessary to create clinics (including with the assistance of the church) to help people who want to regain their sexual health and natural sexual orientation.”
