Danny Dwyer at Bear-Patrol HQ is currently organising on behalf of Bear-Patrol the annual community ‘Hibernation’ charity luncheon on Sunday, October 21 at The Old Ship Hotel.
Bear-Patrol’s annual community fundraising luncheon, Hibernation takes place on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Hibernation has become one of the most sought after tickets in the LGBT+ calendar of events. Tickets are priced at a reasonable rate covering the cost of the event with ALL profits donated to the evenings nominated organisations, MindOut, the LGBT+Mental Health Service and The Rainbow Fund.
Hundreds of Bears and their admirers descended on Dorset Gardens in Brighton Kemptown on the hottest Saturday of the year (June 17) for the annual Brighton Bear Weekend Bear-B-Que and Picnic. This year’s picnic, the busiest yet, featured for the first time a main stage with entertainment provided by Dave Lynn, Jason Thorpe, Mysterry, Spice, Wain Kara Douglas and Brighton’s only LGBT+ choir, the Rainbow Chorus.
A fundraiser at Proud Cabaret in Kemptown at the end of July organised and hosted by entertainer Mysterry raised £1063.53 for the Sussex Beacon.
Brighton Bear Weekender raise record £5453 for the Rainbow Fund from fourteen events for bears and their admirers over the 3rd weekend in June. It was a record-breaking year for Brighton Bear Weekender (BBWE) 2015 with more events on offer than previous years, bringing more visitors to the city and more fun all round for everyone to enjoy.
A fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation on Friday, February 6 at the Grosvenor Bar in Hove raised £502.43. The evening was organised and hosted by drag queen Mysterry and featured performances by Jennie Castell, Krissie Ducann, Collin Day and Marianne Robinson.
Raffle tickets were sold by Katy Jane Martin and Robert Beveridge, the owner of the Grosvenor, made a generous donation from the bar takings.
