London HIV/Aids Hospital threatened with closure
Lord Fowler attends Mildmay Hospital to mark the charities 30th year working in HIV. Lord Fowler closed his address by saying: “As a health issue HIV has not gone away. We have come a long way there is no question of that, but above all the fight must go on. It is not the time to relax our efforts just as surely as there is still a long way to go. The help and contribution Mildmay has made is fantastic, please do continue.”
Mildmay Hospital which was officially opened by HRH Prince Harry in 2015 has been rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Mildmay 26 bed Hospital, based in East London is an HIV charity providing medical treatment, therapies, nursing care and rehabilitation for people with severe and complex HIV-related health conditions.
