Lord Fowler attends Mildmay Hospital to mark the charities 30th year working in HIV. Lord Fowler closed his address by saying: “As a health issue HIV has not gone away. We have come a long way there is no question of that, but above all the fight must go on. It is not the time to relax our efforts just as surely as there is still a long way to go. The help and contribution Mildmay has made is fantastic, please do continue.”
Peter Tatchell Foundation launches major new report. Mr Tatchell, just back from Russia where he was arrested for engaging in a one man protest in Moscow during the FIFA World Cup, has launched a new report, with the backing of the Lord Speaker, Lord Fowler.
NAT (National AIDS Trust) launches the Let’s End It campaign today at an event in the House of Lords which marks the 30th year of the charity working at the forefront of the UK’s response to HIV. Let’s End It sets a goal to end the growth of the HIV epidemic and the continued stigma surrounding HIV before another 30 years pass by.
