I’m horrified to see that Labour has allowed some of the UK’s biggest carbon polluters to host events at this year’s Labour Conference. More surprising is the fact that the party is allowing these companies to do so under the guise of caring about the environment, when nothing could be further from the truth.
Following Jeremy Corbyn’s appearance at Glastonbury, Momentum, the grass roots campaigning organisation will host The World Transformed, a city wide, four day festival of politics, music and art as part of the Labour Party Conference fringe in Brighton from September 23 – 26.
Brighton and Hove Labour Group were announced this weekend as winners of a Best Practice Award, in recognition of their campaigning during the city council elections in May this year.
