Events start on Friday, August 18 with the Pride Launch Party from 5 – 9pm featuring Cherry Liquor and Dawn the Drag Queen, DJ host Boom Party Live, and a variety of food and drink including the newly launched IW Pride Cocktail.

The grant will help it continue its Out On An Island activities, which includes researching the heritage and history of the Isle of Wight’s LGBTQ+ community with its new project OUT ON AN ISLAND: PRIDE IN SELF, PRIDE IN PLACE.
Boogaloo Stu and Ladypat are to bring Queer Hearts, a year-long cultural exchange between Isle of Wight and Brighton, to Brighton’s Jubilee Library in January 2023.
The year-long project which will encompass a joint exhibition of new artworks, plus workshop events, and concluding in May 2023 with a cultural exchange between the artists’ home locations of the Isle of Wight and Brighton.
To rekindle interest and welcome new volunteers, IW Pride is holding a drop-in session on Friday, February 25 at the Riverside Centre in Newport from 12.30 – 6.30pm
