Nominations are now open for The Independent on Sunday’s Rainbow List, celebrating today’s 101 most influential lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) people in Britain as voted for by Independent on Sunday readers. This year will also see intersex people recognised for the first time.
Local broadcaster Kathy Caton jumps 36 places on the annual list of influential Lesbian Gay Bi-Sexual and Transgender people. National campaigners and politicians feature heavily on this year’s list, with a new-entry, actor-turned-well-loved politician and member of the House of Lords, Michael Cashman at number one.
The Pioneering list, now in its fifteenth year, celebrates The Independent on Sunday’s 101 most influential lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Britain with Nicola Adams, Clare Balding and Paris Lees among those to previously top the list.
