Hibernation Community Lunch raises £9,193.04 as painting of George Michael by local artist Lez Ingham raises £3,300. Tickets for this year’s Hibernation Community Lunch, organised by Bear-Patrol at the Old Ship Hotel towards the end of October, sold out months in advance and raised a magnificent total of £9,193.04 for local good causes.
Local artist Lez Ingham has been putting the final touches to her portrait of George Michael, the latest painting in her series of Icons. The painting of the pop superstar was commissioned to be auctioned at Hibernation, the community luncheon organised by Bear-Patrol at the Old Ship Hotel on Sunday, October 22.
Hibernation returns to the glamorous surroundings of the Paganini Ballroom at The Old Ship Hotel on Sunday, October 22 from noon till 6pm. Headlining the afternoons entertainment will be the fabulous international entertainer Miss Hope Springs who will be performing original numbers from her award-winning show.
Team Bear-Patrol ran in the Brighton Half Marathon at the end of February, raising an amazing £12,552.99 for the Sussex Beacon. This year there were 22 runners in The Bear-Patrol Team all running as part of Team Beacon.
Bear-Patrol the LGBT community social/leisure networking group raised £5,000 at their annual community lunch on Sunday, October 23 at the Old Ship Hotel on Brighton seafront.
