Latest figures reveal more than 9,000 people in Sussex and beyond waited longer than 18 weeks for hospital treatment, according to Healthwatch Brighton & Hove (HWB&H), the local voice for patients.
Four South East Healthwatch organisations have met with the CEO of South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) to seek assurance for patients. This follows recent media interest and claims over problems with their call handling pilot project between December 2014 and February 2015.
