Founded in 2021, some of their recent projects have included “creating accessible and sober LGBTQ+ dance spaces and a large-scale community performance at Birmingham Pride with MOBILISE, building the world’s first development model to support the creation of queer-positive performance work for children and families in PALAVER, [a] drag-celebration of musical theatre Send in the Clowns, and outdoor shows Big Gay Disco Bike and Disco Tea Party.”

PALAVER Parties are fun, interactive, glittery events that will include disco-style music and dancing, and interactive crafting activities.
Birmingham-based activist Emma – who will be known by many in the community as the drag king Crip Ladywood – has joined the Birmingham Pride team as their access lead.
Fatt Projects is inviting event attendees to leave audience feedback which will aid them in continuing “to make MOBILISE accessible, safe and fun.”
This accessible sober dance party and silent disco is free to attend and has been “created specifically to empower people to dance, take up space, feel confident and celebrate themselves. MOBILISE is a party for anyone who has felt like they don’t belong in existing LGBTQ+ [spaces], we are a pro-fat, pro-trans, pro-disabled, pro-women, anti-racist, alcohol free, pro-fabulous clubbing environment.”

The parade will begin in Centenary Square, which will allow space for more people and entries than ever before. The parade will then leave Centenary Square at roughly 12pm, led by Fatt Projects’ MOBILISE
Fatt Projects – formed by Adam Carver aka Fatt Butcher – is planning a series of “raucous, joyful and radical queer accessible sober social dance parties” under the name MOBILISE
