Portraits of queer performance artists Bird La Bird and David Hoyle to be shown at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters’ Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries in London from May 9 to May 24.
The one and only David Hoyle makes a triumphal return to the Marlborough Theatre on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23 at 7.30pm. For two unmissable evening witness what’s coming in sound, vision, paint and song. Drink, dance, listen and love.
As part of the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts autumn programme there are a lots of amazing events to look out for. One not to miss is David Hoyle’s show Diamond, in association with The Marlborough Theatre. Diamond is an unforgiving queer performance of sexuality.
David Hoyle is a unique performer: compassionate, angry and not a little crazy. It’s a pleasure to spend an hour and a half in his company as he’s always an engaging, even charismatic, presence. His latest show doesn’t exactly break any new ground for Hoyle – its structure is pretty much the same as the last one I saw about three years ago – but it still makes for an entertaining evening.
