Thousands of Brighton and Hove residents have signed a petition calling for a ‘People’s Vote’ on any Brexit deal. The petition, started by Green Party Councillor Pete West, says: “The government and parliament were given a mandate to negotiate a Brexit deal for Britain. However, they have no right to impose a final deal. The people must have the final say on whether or not to accept the proposals on the table.
