New leader for Labour group in Brighton & Hove

The Labour group of councillors on Brighton and Hove City Council today elected Cllr Nancy Platts as their new Group Leader. A former Labour Parliamentary candidate for Brighton Pavilion in the 2010 General Election where she lost to Caroline Lucas MP and Brighton Kemptown in the 2015 General Election where she lost narrowly to the sitting MP, Simon Kirby by 690 votes.
