Brighton and Hove Green Party will march in solidarity with the city’s trans communities today, August 21, at the annual Trans Pride Brighton March. Trans Pride Brighton is now in its sixth year with the number of attendees growing year on year. Last year over 2,500 people marched to promote equality and celebrate gender diversity.
It is always disappointing when it rains at an open air event and boy did it rain at Trans Pride this year! Fortunately the rain held off allowing the protest march to assemble at the Marlborough Pub for welcoming speeches before making its way along Brighton Seafront to Brunswick Gardens in Hove.
For the 4th annual Trans Pride March (5th Trans Pride event), assemble at the Marlborough Pub in Princess Street, Brighton, today, Saturday, July 22 at 11.30am. After welcoming speeches from the organisers, marchers will set off towards Brighton Palace Pier, turn right and proceed along the seafront to Brunswick Gardens in Hove for the party in the park, featuring music, spoken word and poetry as well as community stalls profiling Trans and LGB+ community groups. No dogs are allowed on the park, except for assistance dogs.
