Most non-heterosexual and trans doctors do not feel comfortable being open at work about their sexual orientation or gender identity because of prejudice and discrimination against LGBTQ+ within the medical profession, shows a British Medical Association (BMA) report.
London-based charity wins an equality award at this year’s Patient Information Awards. Compassion in dying was selected as the winner of the BMA equality, diversity and inclusion special award for the resource they produced in collaboration with LGBT charity for the older people, Opening Doors London, and Stonewall.
