Bishopsgate Institute will be staging a take-over of The Curve at the Barbican from February 28 – March 21 with an installation of objects, ephemera and media highlighting 40 moments and stories in London’s LGBTQ+ history.

In March 1974 the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard was founded to provide confidential and accessible help and information on the end of a phone line. In 2015 the organisation was renamed ‘Switchboard: the LGBT+ Helpline’ to emphasise inclusion for persons of all sexual orientation and gender identities, and to reflect its nationwide reach.
