After six months settling into his new role as Sussex Beacon CEO, James Ledward checks on Bill Puddicombe’s progress to date. Bill’s first job in the voluntary sector was in 1980, as a care assistant for what was then called the Church of England Children’s Society. He has spent most of the intervening years with a mixture of paid and unpaid roles in charities as diverse as Mencap and the Schoolmistresses and Governesses Benevolent Institution.
The Sussex Beacon still has places available for this year’s Half Marathon and Corporate Relay races on Sunday, February 25, 2018, and is looking for more runners to support the charity. Every year, Brighton-based charity The Sussex Beacon organise and deliver The Grand Brighton Half Marathon, a popular event featuring a beautiful seafront course which is one of the first half marathons on the running calendar.
Local HIV charity The Sussex Beacon recruits an Executive Director, Bill Puddicombe, to take the charity forward in 2018. Mr Puddicombe has a wealth of experience in the voluntary sector and a track record of securing the future of small and medium-sized charities.
