Our Place, a series of free community arts events, comes to Hangleton and East Brighton over two weekends during the Brighton Festival. Put together by and for the local communities of East Brighton and Hangleton, Our Place offers a selection of theatre, live music, dance, art, games, workshops and family entertainment in East Brighton on Saturday, May 18 from 11am and in Hangleton on Saturday, May 25 from 10am.
Featuring 130 events with artists and performers from more than 20 countries and using 25 venues in Brighton, Hove and Sussex, the theme of this year’s festivities is story telling. Starting with the children’s procession, the festival promises a feast of art, music, dance and theatre that reflects the diversity of not only the world’s cultures but also Brighton itself.
