Brighton Bear Weekend (BBW), which last year raised £4,000 for the Brighton Rainbow Fund, is to roar back to life in July – from Thursday, July 14 to Sunday, July 17.
Thursday, July 14
Quiz Night at the Camelford Arms from 7pm, booking advised £2 entry.
Friday, July 15:
The Welcome Party at Dorset Gardens from 5pm:

- Mr. Brighton Bear Contest
- Cabaret
- BBW Bar
- Food by local HIV charity Lunch Positive
- 10% food and drink discount with BBW Wristband
- No entry fee – max 500 people in the park
Saturday, July 16:
The Garden Party at Dorset Gardens from 12pm:
- BBW Marquee!
- BBW Bar
- Food by local HIV charity Lunch Positive
- 10% food and drink discount with BBW Wristband
- Live entertainment all afternoon – hosted by Jon Borthwick
- Around 30 vendors and community organisations
- No entry fee – max 500 people in the park
Bear-a-oke at Centre Stage bar from 6pm; hosted by Jon B and Candi-Rell, free entry.
Club Night at Rialto Theatre from 9.30pm:
- Wall-to-wall dancing bears on two floors!
- DJ Josh Sharp downstairs
- DJs Bozzy Bear & Rob C upstairs
- Admission £15 with £3 discount when purchased with the BBW Wristband, limit of 180 people
- Tickets gives you automatic entry up to 11pm then priority entry on a 1-in-1-out basis if full
Sunday, July 17:
The BBW Sunday Lunch and cabaret from the Dame Edna Experience at Centre Stage bar from 12.30pm, booking advised and 10% discount for BBW Wristband holders.
The Dirty Show with Styler Gentry at Ironworks Studios from 7.30pm:
