Workplace Pride Foundation launches Workplace Pride Academy at their 2016 New Year’s Reception.
The Academy is designed to provide professional training sessions for all types of organisations on the topic of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) inclusion at work.
The Academy’s first training module, “LGBT inclusion in the workplace”, complements the Workplace Pride Global Benchmark Survey, which is the Foundation’s tool to measure global LGBT workplace inclusion.
Workplace Pride’s Executive Director, David Pollard, said: “Feedback from participants in the Global Benchmark survey showed that there is a need for practical, hands-on, guidance on how to take the next steps with LGBT workplace inclusion”.
“Many companies appreciate the importance of LGBT workplace inclusion, but are looking for concrete and tangible examples for how to proceed. This is why we launched the Academy and developed the “LGBT inclusion in the workplace” module not only as a follow-up to the Global Benchmark, but also as a stand-alone product.”
The training module is tailor-made for HR professionals, diversity managers, line managers, top decision makers as well as representatives of LGBT networks and has been developed in collaboration with Karen Kraan, an independent professional who has delivered dozens of trainings all over the globe about LGBT inclusion within corporations, the public sector and non-profit organisations.
Kraan said: “I am proud and very pleased to have joined forces with Workplace Pride”.
“Together, we have developed a training module introducing the six critical success factors for LGBT workplace inclusion. The sessions are professionally facilitated by accredited trainers and assist you in taking concrete and tangible steps forward.”
The Workplace Price Academy will be releasing the following modules this year:
♦ Global business and LGBT Inclusion
♦ Setting up and optimizing LGBT employee resource groups
All sessions are moderated in English or Dutch.
