Retired tennis player Martina Navratilova has yet again come under fire for broadcasting her frustration about trans women, saying she is sick of them entering women’s toilets.
Responding to a comment made by controversial Harry Potter author JK Rowling on trans women using women’s toilets, Navratilova said on X, formerly Twitter: “And they can just fu*k off. I am so sick of this…”
Navratilova doesn’t stop at toilets. Earlier this year she called out Italian trans athlete Valentina Petrillo, who made history at this year’s Paralympic Games, a ‘pathetic cheater’.

In September 2024, Martina Navratilova spoke at the Our Bodies, Our Sports rally in Washington DC. as part of the Take Back Title IX Summer Bus Tour, which travels “coast to coast” in the United States “to save women’s sports and stop the war on women”. During her speech, she claimed that she had received some hateful messages because of her opinion on trans athletes.
“I personally have never been called worse names than I have been called this last few years,” Navratilova said.
