Community choirs have been starting back up again in recent months, allowing members to meet in person and sing once again, joyfully joining voices together, rehearse and get ready for their all important Winter (and Christmas) Concerts. Brighton’s Rainbow Chorus is no exception.
Tickets are on sale for their first Christmas Concert since 2019 appropriately named ‘The Rainbows Return’ where you can expect a fun and festive evening of fabulous sounds that is the musical equivalent of a box of Quality Street—there’s something for everyone, some festive favouites and some rather tasty new items to delight the sophisticated LGBTQ+ audience. The Rainbow Chorus also have their famous raffle of seasonally stocked selection of delightful Hampers, stuffed full of Xmas treats, wine, pickles and sweet delights up for graabs so make sure you keep an eye out for a ticket or two to be in with a chance to win.
And as if that wasn’t enough there’s always the chance to treat yourself to a glass of mulled wine or fruit punch from their well stocked bar (card only this year) and perhaps a delicious mince pie or one of the other scrummy nibbles on offer. So dust off your Santa hats and come along for what they promise to be a fantastic and uplifting evening!
Committee member Tim Pike says ‘Join the Rainbow Chorus on 11th December 2021 as we celebrate the ‘Rainbows Return’ to St George’s Kemptown in style!’
He says ‘It’s a fun evening of familiar, new, & festive songs, hosted by our amazing Musical Director Aneesa Chaudhry with amazing Pianist Mojca Monte Amali and brilliant BSL interpreter Marco Nardi. Mulled wine, mince pies and more. And, of course, our famous Rainbow festive hamper raffle. Doors open 6.30pm.’
