The Grosvenor’s Unwanted Christmas present auction
The Grosvenor Bar held their annual charity ‘Unwanted Christmas present auction’ last week hosted by the resident glamorous Auctioneer Lady Pooh La May who gave their own particular chant of rapid-fire, quick-cadence combination of numbers, words and sounds that kept the auction clipping along and delighted the enthusiastic punters.
There were plenty of very generous people who donated their unwanted presents and gifts so that they could be auctioned and the money raised donated to this year’s children’s cancer charity, the auction raised £430.
Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. Almost 4,500 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Their aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer. You can learn more about this hard working charity here, and/or donate.
The Grosvenor’s Christmas raffle also raised an additional £360 which this year went to the Terrance Higgins Trust.
The Grosvenor’s team would like to thank to everyone that came down to help and take part to raise money with the auction.
