LGBTQ+ equality charity Stonewall has announced its Top Global Employers for 2022, which is is compiled from the Workplace Equality Index (WEI) – the tool for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace.
Top Global Employers 2022 lists workplaces who’ve “dedicated themselves to supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion inside and outside the organisation itself.” The impact that inclusive workplaces is shown in Stonewall’s Bring Yourself To Work campaign.
This year, Stonewall had over 400 entrants to the Index. The charity has placed more focus on non-binary and bi inclusion, and work that supports people with a range of identities (such as disabled LGBTQ+ people, or LGBTQ+ people of colour). Stonewall has also included criteria around maintaining a focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion in dispersed workplaces, since working from home has become normalised for many.
