Trans Can Sport has announced a programme of events to take place this autumn. The charity, a not-for-profit project based in Brighton & Hove, was created to get trans people into exercise and healthy living, and aims to help anyone who feels their transgender identity makes participating in sport difficult, including people who are questioning or exploring their gender. Trans Can Sport also welcomes their friends, families and allies.
Trans Can SUP (outdoors) at Shoreham-By-Sea, East Sussex on Sunday, September 25 from 11am – 1.30pm.
Trans Can SUP (stand-up paddleboard) session is always a lovely activity, probably one of Trans Can Sport’s most favourite, and is taking place again on the beautiful Adur River estuary from Shoreham. Paddle upstream past the airport and take in the range of wildlife living by the water. The group will be supported and instructed by an experienced coach and accompanied by a Trans Can Sport Facilitator.
All levels of skill and fitness are welcome, but you must be aged 18+. Trans participants will be offered spaces first, with remaining spaces being offered to allies attending with a trans participant closer to the date.
This session costs £15 per session, payable by bank transfer when you book. Bank details will be sent to you in confirmation email. There are pay it forward spaces available for this activity, for those who may find cost an issue.
