BLAGSS (Brighton Lesbian and Gay Sports Society) are staging a 6 a side football tournament today Saturday, July 18, 2015.
THE tournament, is part of the Brighton Pride Diversity Games, which are sponsored by Domestic & General. The football tournament is supported by Sussex FA.
There is a separate men and women’s competition, whilst individuals or smaller groups can register to play in one of the scratch team(s).
Registration is open to anyone wanting to support Pride and the spirit of LBGT diversity and inclusion.
In the evening following the tournament, there will be a special Pride Football Party in town at Charles Street.
The awards presentations will be made at the Pride Fun Sport’s Day in Preston Park on Sunday, July 19, 2015, which will include loads of fun competitions such as a tug-of-war and egg ‘n spoon races, plus lots of sporting activities.

Where: Waterhall, Brighton Rugby Club, Waterhall Road, BN1 8YR – just off the A23/A27 junction north of the city.
When: Saturday, July 18
Time: 12:30 registration, 13:00 pitches, 13:30pm kick off; aiming to be concluded by around 5pm.
Travel: Car is the best option, with ample parking available. Preston Park is the nearest train station. Bus route 5 passes the closest.
Format: Group stage with all teams progressing into knockout competitions.
Changing facilities will be available, including showers, but space is limited. The surface will be grass. No footwear restrictions but Shin pads are mandatory. There will be Practice facilities available.
Cost: £10 per player, payable on registration.
Water is available gratis and other refreshments will be available.

There are places for 15 teams, available on a first-come-first-served basis, and 5 have already been reserved! All teams must reserve a place in advance by emailing football@blagss.org no later than one month before the tournament i.e. June 18 2015.
Late entries may be considered but cannot be guaranteed.
All participants must sign a liability disclaimer, and all teams/individuals are encouraged to have their own insurances in place. The organisers accept no liability whatsoever.
