Due to the generosity of Pride attendees and local businesses, which comes from contributions made by businesses within the Pride Village Party in the Kemptown/St James’s Street area, more than £30,000 is available to distribute to grassroots groups across Brighton & Hove who need a helping hand to support their work.
Bids will be considered by a panel made up of representatives from The Argus, BBC Sussex, Brighton & Hove News, Brighton & Hove Independent, Sussex Life, Latest magazine and Latest TV with notification of awards by the end of December.
Submissions, which should be a maximum of 400 words, should map out how the money will be spent and why it’s a deserving cause. The maximum award will be £1,000 and there is no lower limit.
There is no restriction on the number of entries by individual groups. However, the emphasis is on supporting community and grassroots groups, rather than individuals.
To submit an entry, email Bhsocialimpactfund@gmail.com by noon on December 9.
