Applications need to be made directly to the Sussex Community Foundation at www.sussexgiving.org.uk
Potential applicants are offered an informal pre-advice meeting to discuss their draft applications. This will help applicants to better understand the Rainbow Fund’s decision-making criteria and processes – and give them a better awareness of the types of project more likely to receive funding. This is not an opportunity to pitch proposals and it is not a requirement of the application process.
With limited funds, the Rainbow Fund does not automatically award funding just because a group applies. It is a competitive process and even strong applications might not be successful. By seeking advice first, applicants will have a better idea of what the independent grants panel has and hasn’t funded in the past and how to meet the essential requirement that their budgets only include requests for funding for frontline services.
Meetings will take place on September 24.
