Brighton & Hove Pride has unveiled the full array of DJs delivering dancefloor energy to this year’s FABULOSO event at Preston Park, Brighton on Saturday, 3 and Sunday, 4 August.
With its 6,000 capacity and reputation for serving up some of the biggest beats at the festival, the PRIDE DANCE TENT is the pulsing heart of FABULOSO. Legendary British dance trailblazers Fat Tony and DJ Paulette are just two of the big names set to spin the decks on its stacked Saturday line-up, which also includes the globally renowned London collective Horse Meat Disco, Affy Go Bang, DJ Gaylord, Oxylion & Danger, Spinks and TheMenWhoFell2Earth.
This year’s Saturday line up at the DIVA DANCE TENT is just as impressive. Michelle Manetti, East London’s queer scene stalwart and Boiler Room star, brings her two decades worth of panache and record collecting knowledge, while house music mainstays Jenn Getz & Alfie and drummer, producer and DJ Stephani B deliver the summer party vibes. Joining them will be popular London and Brighton clubbing collective UOKHUN, Sami Kubu, DJ Mimi and Emma Love.
Diverse and inclusive club night BEEFMINCE bring their DANCE TENT to this year’s FABULOSO. Headliner Paul Heron, who over the last 20 years has performed alongside Fatboy Slim, Frankie Knuckles, David Guetta & more, will be joined by resident DJs Silverhook and Cactus Head showcasing all kinds of electro-pop and dance flavours plus London based international DJ Matt Bogard, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Massimo Paramour.
New York’s drag queen extraordinaire Kevin Aviance and Princess Superstar will both grace the Polyglamorous stage on Sunday. Both are enjoying big waves of resurgence under the spotlight via Beyonce and Saltburn respectively – these are performances not to be missed.
Completing the dance music offerings is Brighton & Hove Pride’s first ever Sober Dance Tent. Run by SOBER BRIGHT’HUNS WITH TONIC!, its aim is to welcome festival goers who are curious to learn more about sober event experiences and enjoy the sensational dance music on display. DJs set to perform at the exclusive space include Ian Farrell, DJ Barronness, DJ StDavid, Joan Oh, Joey English and Prinx Silver.
Firmly established as the UK’s most popular international Pride festival, Brighton & Hove Pride is as famous, vibrant, popular, and unique as the city itself. Brighton & Hove Pride’s sole ethos is to promote diversity, inclusion and education within our communities while raising much needed funds – currently standing at £1.3million – for local LGBTQ+ charity and community groups and projects through the Brighton Rainbow Fund and Social Impact Fund.
British pop idols Girls Aloud and global superstar Mika will headline the main stage at this year’s joyful and fun filled FABULOSO two-day community fundraiser event. Joining this spectacular line up is multi-award-winning actor, musician and LGBTQ+ icon, Billy Porter; dancefloor and all out sensation, Sophie Ellis-Bextor; pop family favourites, S Club; the UK’s treasured singer-songwriter, Gabrielle; Björn Again; House Gospel Choir; and Danny Beard, with more artists and acts to be announced over the coming months.
As always, the Brighton & Hove Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade will open the weekend under this year’s theme of JOY: celebrating life, spirit, and resilience.
The parade will wind through the city streets in its usual spectacular colour and style, delighting the thousands of people who take to the streets to watch the event which showcases over one hundred charities, community groups and small businesses, our invaluable emergency services, the NHS and representatives of other Pride organisations.
Other Brighton & Hove Pride favourites including the Pride Village Party and Pride Community Day & Dog Show will also make their rainbow-coloured return.
