MCC Brighton (the people who brought the giant Jesus to the Pride Parade in 2016) again change perceptions of what a church is.
Pastor Andrew Ramage, says: “This year we decided to really step it up, so we volunteered to organise the ‘Faith Corner’ for TransPride in July and have already got some great people of different faiths lined up to answer questions about their faiths and provide blessings, aura readings and card readings.
We will again be in the Brighton Pride parade and Park with our message that “God thinks you’re fabulous” but we haven’t stopped there, we have also launched Street Church.
“Street Church meets people where they are, out and about in the city. We have already had some incredibly successful and fun launch parties at the Clock Tower and we will be meeting every Wednesday from 4.30pm at The Old Steine.”

We have already had some incredibly successful and fun launch parties at the Clock Tower and we will be meeting every Wednesday 430pm at The Old Steine. This is a church for everyone, fully open and totally committed to the statements on the banner ‘A church without walls, A faith without limits, A love without exceptions’ after all Jesus went out and about connecting with all walks of life, so really we are just going back to the true meaning of church. The songs will be lively, the atmosphere relaxed and the refreshments free. This is a chance for the many diverse parts of our community to come together in worship without the pressure of entering a church building. So, if you don’t do Sundays, come and try Wednesdays.”
There will be a gazebo in case of rain, hot and cold drinks and time to socialise after the service.
