Much-loved Julia Trangmer has died

The Clare Project, the trans support and social group, has asked us to share the sad news that Julia Trangmer has died.

“Our much-loved friend Julia Trangmer passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 8.

“Many of us know Julia from her huge contributions to community organising, supporting the wonderful work of The Clare Project and propping up the bar at The Marlborough. She also spent many years dedicated to her family, friends and colleagues – many of which she met through her huge love for music, food and laughter.

“We are all eternally grateful to the staff on her Covid wards at Brighton’s Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital who gave Julia the upmost respect and care throughout her time there.

“Alongside her close friends and family, we will be making arrangements to pay our respects and remember Julia exactly how she would have wanted – with lots of love, joy and plenty of David Bowie. We will keep you posted on these plans as they progress, via our Facebook page.
