Dare yourself to be brave and raise money for Martlets Hospice by abseiling 115 feet down Peacehaven Cliffs on Sunday, July 15.
It’s an exciting sponsored challenge that’s great fun for teams or families to enjoy together.
Open to anyone aged 8 or over; no previous experience is needed, just a sense of adventure and a head for heights. All equipment is provided and properly qualified, experienced instructors will help you to find your way down the spectacular cliff face.
Clem Hunnisett from the Hospice’s Events Team, said: “If you are the kind of person who likes to challenge yourself then this is for you!
“There are amazing views of the Channel as you edge your way down to the sea front from the top of the cliffs.
“We’d love more teams to take part this year; perhaps families or groups of workmates.
“It is a physical event, but it is something that anyone can do with a bit of bravery and lots of encouragement from their supporters!
“All money raised is vitally important and will go towards caring for our patients and their families during some of the hardest times in their lives.”
It costs just £20 to register for this challenge and the Hospice is asking that everyone who takes part raises a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
Martlets Hospice receives less than a third of its income from the NHS so it relies on fundraising to provide its services free of charge to local people when they need them.
