The Parade, which will this year be filmed in advance on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 to keep it safe for those taking part, will have the theme March For Peace as it highlights the diversity of LGBTQ+ communities and their own unique reasons for joining the Pride protest each year.
To take part, Manchester Pride would like you to film a short clip on your own or with a friend, taking approximately 15 minutes of your time. You will only be required to attend one of the above dates. They encourage you to come ready as if you were going to walk the Parade. This could include what you wear, banners, signage, dance moves, singing and more!

‘I am really excited about our Alternative Manchester Pride Parade It is very important to me that we remind the world that pride is a protest not just a party and that we all have our own reasons for taking part. Globally LGBTQ+ people need to be heard now more than ever and by enabling them to still take part in this vital element of our festival we hope that we will be helping them to continue this important conversation.’
