THESE two posh looking products popped into my box a few weeks ago with an invitation to try them out. They are personal lubricants and as I was off to Brazil with the boyfriend; I didn’t need to be asked twice.
What a surprise, I’m used to buying lubes aimed at the gay male audience with names like Thrust, Pound or Hammer (none of these are real products, but you get my drift), so it was nice to see something less aggressively marketed or uber-macho designed and just presented as a decent useful product in a neat little tube.
The Deluxe Cream Lube is quiet an eye opening experience, very soft and slick, no irritation or greasy residue, it’s easy to apply and use and didn’t leave marks on the linen, it was much better than the usual cream lube we use.
The Gel Lube worked well in and out of water and again put up with some serious long hard testing sessions, never losing its slickness or getting sticky or dry and again beating the usual water based gel hands down for slipperiness (is there a scientific term for the slipperiness of lubricants?)
It lasts for a long time without the need for reapplication and there’s no perfume, no gloopy deposit and they don’t taste too bad either if you just happen to get any on your tongue.
As personal lubricants these gel and cream rock!
Licx works well and performs for whatever you get up to and it’s nice to your skin too. They’ve avoided all of the ‘bad’ ingredients to give greater peace of mind. They are water-based, pH-balanced with no harmful ingredients, not tested on animals and are paraben-free. They are also manufactured and tested in the UK. They come in a range of pump action, sachets and tubes and fit next to the bed, in your travel bag or alongside the sling..
You can see more of their range for men and women and some of their novel ‘travel packs’ and arousal gels, neither of which I had the opportunity to try out, on their website here.
They are keen to engage with the customers and seem to be making an impact in the world of intimate sensual products.
Licx have put a lot of thought into the feel of their products and it’s one of the nicer lubes you can buy at the price, although not targeted directly at LGBT users, lube is polysexual and this is an effective personal lubricant even under some seriously sweaty, intense heavy duty testing.
