What is the HIV Commission?
The HIV Commission is an independent process to find ambitious and achievable ways to end new HIV transmissions and HIV-attributed deaths in England by 2030. As part of the engagement and consultation strategy, the HIV Commission is currently looking for different sources of evidence which will inform the development of evidence-based recommendations on how to end new HIV transmissions in England by 2030, to be published in a final report by Spring 2020.
Hearing sessions are open to all. Register to go along here:
What are evidence hearings?
As part of their engagement and consultation strategy, the HIV Commission has called for evidence hearings around the country to inform its thinking. This will help inform commissioners on the development of evidence-based recommendations.
They are a series of regional town hall sessions where members of the HIV Commission will meet with organisations and communities to get deeper understanding on topics impacting local areas.
Hearing sessions are open to all.
Where are the sessions taking place?
Evidence hearings are a series of six events across five different areas of the country. They will take place in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Brighton, and Bristol. Brighton’s session is at Hove Town Hall.
Can’t attend the session but still want to be involved?
You can submit evidence to the HIV Commission online. The ‘Have Your Say‘ section is open on our website, enabling anyone to submit evidence in a written, audio or video format.
They need you to share your knowledge, expertise, advice and vision so that the HIV Commission can be as well informed as possible. All submissions will be considered and the knowledge you share with us will help to inform the recommendations of the commission. If you have any questions about this process, please get in touch at info@hivcommission.org.uk.
