Nick Dumont, star of Oppenheimer, comes out as trans masculine and non-binary

Nick Dumont, star of Oppenheimer, has come out as trans masculine and non-binary on Instagram.

In a post, Dumont shared their new pronouns, they/them. While they will continue using the name Emma Dumont for their professional work, they will be called Nick among friends and family. The Oppenheimer star has also updated their social media profile with the new name, Nick Dumont.

A source close to Domont told TMZ, “They identify as a trans masculine non-binary person. Their work name is still going to be Emma Dumont, but they will go by Nick with friends and family.” Despite their recent updates on social media, Dumont has not yet publicly discussed their decision to come out.

For the past few years, more celebrities have come out as non-binary, including Bella Ramsey, Emma D’Arcy, Demi Lovato, Janelle Monáe, Sam Smith, Emma Corrin, Jonathan Van Ness, Cara Delevingne and Elliot Page.

Dumont has been part of several major Hollywood projects, including the role as Robert Oppenheimer’s sister-in-law, Jackie, in Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed film, Oppenheimer, which also featured Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett and Casey Affleck.

On the work front, Dumont will be next seen in The New Me, alongside Molly Burnett, Constantine Maroulis, Nicholas Baroudi, Gavin-Keith Umeh and Morgan Lennon. The film, directed by Lucy Ciara McCutcheon, doesn’t yet have a release date.
