MindOut, the LGBTQ+ mental health charity, has been shortlisted for an award at the inaugural Metro Pride Awards, which bring together the most influential and inspiring LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations to honour and celebrate the extraordinary talent, resilience and passion that defines LGBTQ+ communities.

MindOut joins Just Like Us and Fighting With Pride in the Grassroots or Charity Organisation of the Year category. Others on the shortlist, include: gay diver Tom Daley in Sports Hero of the Year category; Jodie Harsh in Music Hero of the Year category; Jade Thirlwall in Inspiration Ally category; and The Vivienne in Rising Star category.

Taking place during LGBT+ History Month in February 2025, the awards will recognise LGBTQ+ individuals in the public eye who have achieved greatness across various fields, from entertainment and activism to entrepreneurial success. The awards will also highlight the brands and organisations with a proven track record of promoting equality, diversity, and LGBTQ+ rights within their sectors.

“The Metro Pride Awards is a defining moment for us,” said Richard Hartley-Parkinson, Executive Editor of Metro.

“We are excited to celebrate those who have made significant contributions not just to the LGBTQ+ community but to society as a whole. By partnering on this event, we are reinforcing our commitment to amplifying diverse voices and shining a light on the remarkable achievements of individuals who inspire us all.”
