He’s Got Your Back! Comedian and television presenter Joe Lycett will headline the National Student Pride main stage on Saturday, February 24.
In conversation with Suzi Ruffell, Lycett will discuss his life and career in an interview in partnership with Attitude at National Student Pride, which is the UK’s largest LGBTQ+ student event, made by students, for students.
On the main stage, Student Pride will host RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s Tomara Thomas, and Cara Melle, as well as Queer Question Time, hosted by LBC’s Natasha Devon, to ask the big questions facing LGBTQ+ students and LGBTQ+ TV and film, headlined by Russell T Davies. The main stage is hosted by Tia Kofi and Charlie Craggs. Free daytime tickets, £10 weekend wristbands and Sunday Drag Brunch bolt-on tickets are available HERE.
Mainstage headliner, Joe Lycett, is no stranger to stage or screen, with multiple headline tours and live entertainment show, Late Night Lycett, commissioned for a second series coming in 2024. Not your ordinary performer, Joe Lycett is well known for getting political with his viral PR stunts.
From calling out politicians, taking on water companies to faking a shredding of £10,000 in protest of David Beckham’s work with World Cup host Qatar. In 2020 Joe Lycett legally changed his name to ‘Hugo Boss’, in protest of the fashion brand’s treatment of small businesses who were using ‘boss’ in their names.
National Student Pride returns to London between February 23-25 to bring together 2,000+ attendees for a whole weekend of parties, panels, an LGBTQ+ careers fair, and so much more. More info HERE
