Chloe Grace Moretz comes out as a “gay woman” in post backing Kamala Harris for US president

Kick Ass and Dark Shadows actress, Chloe Grace Moretz, has come out as a “gay woman” while backing Kamala Harris for US president.

The 27-year-old star, who is rumoured to be in a relationship with Kate Harrison, shared a heartfelt post to her 25million Instagram followers, detailing her reasons for voting for Harris and stressing how essential it is to safeguard women’s and LGBTQ+ rights.

In a post on Instagram, the actress, who illustrated the post with an ‘I voted early 2024’ pic, said: “I voted early, and I voted for Kamala Harris. There is so much on the line this election.

“I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us.”

In the post, the actress added: “I believe in the need for legal protections that protect the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman. We need protections in this country and to have the care we need and deserve.”

Moretz, who has two gay brothers, rallied her huge following, pushing them to vote. Wrapping up her call-to-action, saying: “SO… Are you voting early? Let’s get a plan together to get to your polling place with your friends!”
