Brighton Bear Weekend kicked into gear last night (June 15) with welcome parties at Bar Revenge and Envy night club.
A FULL day of events is scheduled today (June 16) starting with breakfast with the bears at the Camelford Arms this morning from 10.30am. Try the All Day Camelford Breakfast. It is epic!
The party moves on to Dorset Gardens from 12.30-5.30pm for the Bear-B-Que and Picnic, sponsored by Prowler in St James Street. Enjoy salads and burgers prepared by Lunch Positive, the HIV lunch club, buy a drink at the bar operated by the Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum and settle down to watch the entertainment on main stage.
Bear-a-oke returns to Bar Broadway in Steine Street from 5:30pm-8:30pm followed with two DJs on two floors at Woofer at Latest Music Bar from 9pm-2am. And if that is not enough for one days partying you can booze and cruise at SubWoofer at Subline from 11pm-6am. Entry to both club events is £5 with wristband – £7 without.
All Brighton Bear Weekend events raise money for the Rainbow Fund, a local grants organisation who give grants to local LGBT/HIV organisations who deliver effective front line services to LGBT people in the city.
