Pride at Proud, a special celebration of Brighton Pride 2019, organised by Brighton based, Frontline AIDS, starring Kalon Rae from ITV’s The Voice and supported by local drag sensation Miss Jason will be at Proud Cabaret on Thursday, August 1 at 7pm.
THIS spectacular fundraising event is in support of the Frontline AIDS, Rapid Response Fund, which provides emergency grants to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) people in crisis around the world.
Launched in 2016, the Fund is a unique and vital lifeline for all LGBT+ people worldwide.
While here in Brighton, we are free to party with pride, our brothers and sisters around the world still face daily prejudice. Every penny raised will support LGBT+ people who are targeted simply for being who they are.
Frontline AIDS wants a future free from AIDS for everyone, everywhere. Around the world, millions of people are denied HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care simply because of who they are and where they live.
As a result, almost 2 million were infected with HIV in 2017 and almost 1 million died of AIDS-related illness.
Together with partners on the frontline, Frontline AIDS work to break down the social, political and legal barriers that marginalised people face, and innovate to create a future free from AIDS.
