When young Arabic Australian Elmira, or E as she insists on being called, stumbles on a stash of cash, she and her best friend and husband of convenience, Matt, are forced to go on the run.
But E finds she has burnt too many bridges, and there is nowhere to run but outback Australia and the arms of the ex-girlfriend who broke her heart. Can she keep the money, conquer her demons, AND get the girl?
All About E is in parts a love story, thriller and rites of passage road movie.
The action moves between the Sydney Club scene and the Australian bush. The cinematography is beautiful and it has been universally well received by the media at film festivals around the world.
“Most feel-good movie of the festival…featuring laughs, suspense, a deliriously good sex scene, and a rousing finale. All About E has something for everyone.” – The San Francisco Chronicle
“The energy in All About E is simply magical… put it on your must watch list.” – Australia’s Curve Mag
“Lesbian characters are rarely written into films globally, least of all in Australia. Enter new lesbian road movie, All About E. It’s been more than 20 years since Priscilla: Queen of the Desert sashayed into cinemas, and no homegrown queer film has had a similar impact since. But this looks set to change with this surprise runaway hit on the queer film festival circuit.” – Sydney evening paper MX
Following the screening there’ll be a Q&A with the director, producers and cast.
