Brilliant Brighton’s Festive Afternoon is to take place on Saturday, December 2 from 2 – 6pm to spread a little Christmas cheer and celebrate Small Business Saturday throughout the city centre!
As well as having festive helpers visiting businesses and giving out goodies, a brass band and Christmassy performers will be popping up across Brighton, further adding to the festive feel.
The event also sees the return of the popular window dressing competition, following the success of last year’s competition, which saw over 1,000 votes cast by members of the public for their favourite businesses’ window. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland and be sure to vote for your favourite to be in with a chance of winning a £150 gift card to be spent locally.
The festive afternoon will also be illuminated by Brilliant Brighton’s Christmas lights – paid for by the 517 businesses within Brilliant Brighton, which will twinkle up the city centre streets from mid-November.
“While the lights will be twinkling up city centre streets from the evening of November 17, our Festive Afternoon on Saturday, December 2, also marking Small Business Saturday, celebrates our Brilliant Brighton Christmas lights – a generous gift to the city from our city centre businesses, and a magical backdrop to the event,” Shelley Welti, Marketing & Events Manager for Brilliant Brighton says.
