Brighton LGBTQ+ History Club is to host a free event to celebrate 45 years of Switchboard, the charity for LGBTQ people looking for community, support or information, on Sunday, November 15 from 6pm.
Switchboard, the oldest LGBTQ charity in Brighton & Hove, celebrates its 45th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion they’ve been digging deep into the archives of anonymised call logs, handwritten notes by volunteers documenting calls and notes from their befriending service, dating back to the late 1970s.
Spend an evening with Natasha Walker and Clare Plumley as they explore this rich and moving history. Listen to stories, ask questions, and come on a journey of political and personal accounts.
Note this is a virtual event which will take place on Zoom. Click here to book your place.
