Brighton LGBTIQ+ History Club to mark World AIDS Day on Sunday, November 27

Brighton LGBTIQ+ History Club is to mark World AIDS Day at Brighton Museum on Sunday, November 27 with an afternoon of stories, talks, and local(ish) heritage.

For this end of November edition, the history club we will be meeting at Brighton Museum to explore, discuss, and remember local stories from HIV activists and historians.

Sue Hunter will be discussing stigma, her journey, and her contribution to the only radio show dedicated to HIV in the UK – HIV Hour – on local Radio Reverb. 

Heather Leake Date will talk about her 30+ years of experience of establishing the UK’s first pharmacist-led antiretroviral clinic.

The event is a sober space, tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided. The venue is wheelchair accessible. If you have any accessibility needs you would like to discuss ahead of the event, email info@queerinbrighton.co.uk.
