Brighton & Hove Pride, the UK’s biggest Pride Festival, has announced that Yahoo will be the headline partners for WE ARE FABULOSO, the official Pride fundraiser for the Brighton Rainbow Fund.
This year’s We Are Fabuloso supported by Yahoo, takes place on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 and promises to be the best ever. With the iconic Christina Aguilera headlining the main stage on the Saturday in Preston Park and Paloma Faith on the Sunday, as well as over 100 LGBTQ+ artists across eight other stages.
In a press release, Brighton & Hove Pride said: “With a diverse global monthly audience of nearly 900 million, Yahoo is committed to be a leader in inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout its original and partner content ecosystem, its support for employees and culture through its employee resource groups (ERGs) as well as its hiring practices, Yahoo is committed to values of inclusivity and support for diversity, equity and inclusion.”
Josh Partridge, Yahoo Head of EMEA, added: “Yahoo fundamentally believes that diversity and inclusivity leads to not only better understanding, but ultimately better ideas and solutions for businesses around the world. We thread that belief throughout our entire organisation, from the content we produce, to the technology solutions we design and Yahoo’s culture.
“I couldn’t be more proud of us to be collaborating with Brighton & Hove Pride this year as headline partners for We Are Fabuloso, helping fundraise for the Brighton Rainbow Fund and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.”
The partnership with Brighton & Hove Pride is Yahoo’s most significant support of an LGBTQ+ event to date in the UK, focused on aligning with Pride’s ethos as a ‘Pride with Purpose’ raising funds for local charities and good causes.
Paul Kemp, Managing Director, Brighton & Hove Pride Community Interest Company, added: “We’re delighted that Yahoo have come on board as headline partners for We Are Fabuloso this year. With the return of the in-person live event in Preston Park we’re looking forward to celebrating with them in style and fundraising for the Brighton Rainbow Fund”.
As well as a dedicated section across Yahoo’s editorial ecosystem for Brighton & Hove Pride, Yahoo will be reporting live from the backstage of We Are Fabuloso delivering exclusive artist interviews and exciting Pride content up to and over the weekend in August.
